Medical imaging department is a comprehensive platform department that integrates medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research. The department has a strong and skilled team of over 70 high-quality professional and technical talents, including 15 with senior professional titles, six with doctoral degrees, and over 30 with master’s degrees. Currently, the department has multiple world-class advanced imaging equipment, including three 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging machines, five high-end multi-slice spiral CT machines, DR machines, digital gastrointestinal machines, digital breast machines, bone densitometer, oral CT machines, etc. The department fully applies the PACS system for standardized management, introduces advanced medical imaging artificial intelligence (AI) systems, improves management efficiency, promotes standardized reporting, and ensures accurate imaging diagnosis. At present, the annual number of patients exceeds 350,000, which is at the leading level in Tianjin. In recent years, the department has won the “excellent award for medical imaging diagnosis report and quality control” and the “excellent award for quality control of MR, CT and DR” in the imaging quality control evaluation organized by the Tianjin Imaging Quality Control Center for several times.

The department has successfully launched a series of efficient, accurate, and non-invasive examination methods such as “one-stop CTA combined scanning of heart, brain, chest and abdomen”, “cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR)”, and “brain functional MR imaging”, and implemented a multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment (MDT) model to provide high-quality imaging services for clinical and scientific research. At the same time, the department undertakes multiple research projects at the national, provincial, and municipal levels, and the teaching and internship work for the undergraduate students and graduate students of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
