General surgery department was established in 2005. After 20 years of inheritance and innovation, it has formed an academic medical system of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine with clear development goals and unique methodology. The department has always adhered to the development strategy of “the integration of internal treatment with external treatment, Chinese medicine with western medicine, and acupuncture with medicine”. The department is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of gastrointestinal tract, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, thyroid gland and breast. Furthermore, the department is equipped with advanced endoscopy and laparoscopic system. Featured technologies include thyroid microwave ablation, painless endoscopy, interventional gastroscopy for gastrointestinal obstruction and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery.There are 31 beds with over 10,000 outpatients and 1000 surgeries annually. At present, there are 12 doctors. An excellent academic medical team has been trained in general surgery department.
