Breast surgery department was established in 2016. Based on the experience of more than 50 years of traditional Chinese medicine treatment of breast diseases in our hospital, the department highlights the characteristics of “minimally invasive” and “traditional Chinese medicine”, and forms a specialty combining traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and modern medicine to provide reliable diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases with good curative effects by integrating traditional Chinese medicine with western medicine. At present, there are 17 medical staff, who carry out surgeries and traditional Chinese medicine treatments for mammary inflammatory diseases, mammary hyperplastic diseases, mammary neoplastic diseases, congenital malformation and reconstruction of nipples. The annual outpatient volume is more than 40,000 people. And a variety of hospital preparations for internal and external use are developed and widely used in clinical practice. In recent years, the department has undertaken seven projects at all levels and trained more than 40 graduate students.
